Privacy policy
Short version: we do not collect anything about you.
No accounts, no sign-ups
There is nothing to sign up for on DealYouLike. We have no accounts, no logins, no newsletter and no contact form, so we never ask you for your name, email address, payment details or anything else. If you email us, we obviously have whatever you put in that email — we use it to reply to you and nothing more.
No analytics
At the time of writing we run no analytics, no tracking pixels and no advertising cookies. We do not build a profile of you and we have no third-party trackers on these pages. If that ever changes we will update this page and say what we added, before turning it on.
Local storage (your theme)
The site stores exactly one thing in your browser's localStorage: a key called dyl-theme, holding either light or dark. It exists so the site stays in the theme you picked on your next visit. It never leaves your device, it is not a cookie, and it contains nothing that identifies you. Clearing your browser storage removes it, after which the site simply follows your system's light or dark setting again.
Google Fonts
We load the Inter typeface from Google's font servers (fonts.googleapis.com and fonts.gstatic.com). To deliver those font files your browser makes a request to Google, which means Google receives your IP address and standard request information such as your browser and operating system. That request is governed by Google's own privacy policy, not ours. If you would rather not have it, blocking those two domains leaves the site fully readable in your system font.
Server logs
Our web host keeps ordinary server logs — IP address, page requested, time, browser user agent — as nearly every web server does. They exist for security and troubleshooting, are not used to profile visitors, and are not combined with anything else or sold.
Links to Amazon
Following a link from this site to Amazon takes you onto Amazon's website, where Amazon's own privacy notice and cookie practices apply. Amazon may use cookies or link parameters to attribute a purchase to us. We never see your order, your payment details or your personal information — at most we see anonymous, aggregated commission reports.
Children
This site is not directed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect information from them.
Your rights
Because we hold no personal data about you, there is generally nothing for us to export or delete. If you have emailed us and want that correspondence deleted, ask and we will remove it.
